Effective date: 17 October 2026 · Applies to the Virasat family app (myvirasat.co.in) and storyteller app (talk.myvirasat.co.in)
Virasat (“we”, “us”) helps families record the life stories of an elder (the “storyteller”) through voice conversations with an AI listener, and turns them into a family biography, family tree and timeline. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Contact: support@myvirasat.co.in.

Virasat uses Google Sign-In only. We request the basic scopes openid, email and profile and nothing else — we do not access your Gmail, Contacts, Drive, Calendar or any other Google data.
We do not sell personal data, show ads, or use your family’s stories to train AI models.
We may disclose information if required by law. We will not otherwise share personal data with third parties.
On Google Cloud servers, which may be located outside India, including in the United States.
The storyteller is asked for consent before their first conversation and can stop at any time. Family members should only add a storyteller who agrees to take part. Virasat is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Sign-in is required for everything. Each family can access only their own storyteller. Files are stored privately and shared only with signed-in family members. Sensitive actions (exports, deletions) are logged.
You may ask to access, correct or erase your data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to act for you. Write to support@myvirasat.co.in (Grievance Officer: Samreen Dhillon). We reply within 7 days.
We will post any changes here and update the effective date. Significant changes will be shown in the app.
